The owners...

Silverio is the owner of this very special place, a traditional Canarian artisan, a vital artist, an owner with a personality as unique as the space he manages. 

His family has been growing around the house. First with Cati, his partner, and later with the arrival of their two children: Omar and Nora. Together they have discovered and investigated the places surrounding the house.

The uniqueness of the space...

The Rural Accommodation La Rosa del Taro offers the possibility of renting a complete small rural house, a dream place where you can find peace and inspiration. Here you can enjoy all the advantages of a traditional accommodation while experiencing a unique contact with the Majorcan land, its native landscapes, spectacular skies and sunsets, and the surrounding mountains. Facing south, the Rosa del Taro cottage is located in front of an impressive rocky mountain that integrates it completely into the landscape.

The house can accommodate 2-3 people. It has a bedroom with two single beds, a fully equipped kitchen-living room, a bathroom and a terrace with panoramic views.

La Rosa is an old restored building. It combines traditional and modern architecture for an authentic experience with all the comforts of home.

Silverio discovered this amazing setting years ago, by chance. He acquired the property in 1986, with a house in a semi-ruinous state which he has been gradually rehabilitating, leaving an area for rural accommodation.

The space that surrounds it...

It is the rural accommodation situated on the heights, that is why the property is known as La Atalaya de la Rosa del Taro. The Rosas in Fuerteventura used to be large agricultural estates. The Taros were stone constructions similar to a mill, with two floors and were used to store foodstuffs to protect them from rodents. It is a privileged place to observe the landscape, a watchtower at the foot of La Rosa del Taro mountain.

Guests have the possibility to relax in its rooms and to have access to other facilities of the farm, such as the pottery workshop and the dome. The sea can be seen to your left and to your right, at nightfall, you can watch a beautiful sunset and the starry skies of this Starlight Reserve.
